Rawlplug returns to the Australian and New Zealand construction market
In line with the strategy it has put in place for the years 2013-2018, Rawlplug continues to increase its geographical coverage and expand its global distribution network. Thanks to cooperation with Blackwoods – market leader in the supply of solutions for Australian industry and construction, and exclusive distributor of Rawlplug – our products are currently available in Australia and New Zealand.
The Australian and New Zealand construction market is an important point on the map when it comes to the global expansion of the Rawlplug brand. The local market situation and a mood conducive to investment in innovation allow us to optimistically forecast Rawlplug’s success in this part of the world.
‘Australian government projects promise significant investments in the construction market and there has been a steady rise in the value of construction projects in the private sector,’ says Ewa Rosińska-Hryń, Rawlplug International Development Manager. ‘Also, we have high hopes for a project being conducted by Swinburne University of Technology to implement regulation of the ETAG and ETA certifications – which are held by Rawlplug products – for the Australian market.‘
Workshops and training for advisers
For almost 135 years Blackwoods has been at the forefront of suppliers providing products for the construction industry. Part of the Wesfarmers Group – one of the largest listed companies and one of the largest employers in Australia – its main customers are companies and investors in the construction and mining industries. Rawlplug product sales and consulting will be carried out by a dedicated team of experienced managers and engineers specializing in the construction fastenings market. Their knowledge of Rawlplug solutions is the result of a comprehensive training programme of lectures and workshops conducted by Rawlplug in a specially arranged space at Swinburne University of Technology. Participants attended advanced product presentations and practical classes to build up their knowledge of all the solutions offered by Rawlplug. They were also given the opportunity to get answers to any questions they had about products, their applications and technical documentation. Lectures and workshops were coordinated by Andrew Paul, Rawlplug International R&D Director, meaning attendees could learn and improve their knowledge under the direct supervision of a specialist.
Rawlplug returns to the Antipodes
The history of Rawlplug fastenings in the Antipodes dates back to the first half of the twentieth century when its founders continued venturing into world markets as part of their “Round the World with Rawlplugs” policy.
‘Establishing cooperation with the Wesfarmers Group is an important milestone for the brand. Since the turn of the century Rawlplug solutions have been unavailable in this part of the world,’ explains Ewa Rosińska-Hryń.
