Rawlplug supports children's art therapy at the "Cape of Hope" clinic in Wrocław, Poland.

The “To Rescue Children with Cancer” Foundation runs art therapy classes at Wroclaw’s  ”Cape of Hope” oncology clinic for children undergoing treatment for cancer. Rawlplug funded art equipment for use during the sessions.

Founded in 1991 in Wroclaw, the main goal of the “To Rescue Children with Cancer” Foundation is to provide direct aid. Its activities are focused on both medical care – the Foundation finances the cost of treatment – and social support as the children try to fill the days during their time in hospital.           Volunteers working for the Foundation help to organize and run promotional and charitable activities and thematic events. These are aimed not only at current patients and their families, but also at children who have returned to health. In order to help facilitate the development of therapeutic activities for the children, Rawlplug donated glue guns and additional equipment to be used during the art therapy sessions.

 Therapy through art

The “To Rescue Children with Cancer” Foundation operates a number of therapeutic classes and workshops which aim to develop the talents of children and teach them about the world during their stay in hospital. Art therapy is among these classes, and is a way of reaching out to pupils through their own creativity. Art therapy classes do not concentrate on the individual abilities of children in art, music or movement. On the contrary, children are encouraged to explore different ways of expressing their personality regardless of ability, and emphasis is placed on the classes as a social activity.
