Sport enables us to pursue our own notions of perfection, to improve ourselves, to take on new challenges and break down barriers, release stress and tension, and integrate with others. The positives that we take from our experiences in sport help us each and every day in our professional lives. Through sport, we perfect our ability to work as part of a team, and we learn to succeed as a team.

We actively support sportsmen and women from our local community and are keen to see our brand associated with the positive impact of sport.

Supporting sporting hobbies and special interests

We fund individual and group (e.g. family) participation in paragliding, underwater diving, triathlons, squash, trekking, hiking and climbing. We also regularly arrange for groups of our employees to participate in and attend events such as volleyball tournaments, football tournaments, marathons and cycling events.

In addition to these one-off events, Rawlplug sponsors the Modeco Football Team and its participation in the local amateur football leagues. The team is made up of Rawlplug employees, their friends and associates, and has enjoyed great success since its creation in 2009. Find out more about the Modeco Football Team.

Wrocław Loves Basketball

Since 2001 and driven by the passion of Przemysław Koelner, Rawlplug (then known exclusively as Koelner SA) has supported the Wrocław Loves Basketball initiative. Aimed at promoting an active lifestyle through participation in sport, the initiative targets children and young adults and provides them with an organised structure in which to pursue their sporting ambitions.

Since 2001 and thanks to the support we have provided, over 1,000 children and youngsters have benefited from intensive training, with many more benefitting through their involvement in other sports initiatives supported by Rawlplug (including football, athletics, handball, table tennis and wrestling). Nothing gives us greater satisfaction than watching the youngsters we have supported fulfil their sporting ambitions.
